Drissa Ouattara, Ph.D

Mr. Ouattara holds a doctorate in Environmental Sciences, which he received in 2017 from l’Université du Québec en Abitibi Témiscamingue after he had completed a master’s program in Mineral Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal in 2011. His research was concerned with the management of mine tailing by paste backfill, more specifically on the improvement of the rheological and mechanical properties of embankments through the use of superplasticizers. As an Associate Research Professional at Université du Québec en Abitibi Témiscamingue, he provided his expertise in the rheology of cemented paste backfill in the packing service contracts aspect of several mining companies. In December 2019, Mr. Ouattara joined the CTRI in the Mining and Ore Processing Department.
