Selma Etteieb holds a master’s degree in Environmental Management from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICH) in Greece (2009) and a PhD (2015) in Rural Engineering, Water and Forests from l’Institut national agronomique de Tunisie in collaboration with Tsukuba University in Japan. She began working as a Research Engineer at the Water Science and Technology Laboratory at l’Institut national agronomique de Tunisie in 2012. Her fields of expertise are biomonitoring of emerging pollutants in water and soil, environmental risk assessment through in vitro bioassays, molecular biology approaches, application of ecotoxicological biotests to assess environmental impacts and toxicity of chemical micropollutants, follow-up of pollution biomarkers and chemical analyses of inorganic and organic micropollutants in effluents. Her scientific research work has allowed her to publish several scientific papers. In May 2019, Ms. Etteieb joined the CTRI team as a Postdoctoral Researcher affiliated to l’Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Quebec City, Canada.
